The Brady BMP21 Portable Label Printer prints via thermal transfer at 203 dots per inch (dpi) on a variety of materials, and uses easy-to-load cartridges and automatic label formatting. With a simple ABC keyboard, the Brady BMP21 prints in character sizes up to 3/4" wide and up to 1.5" long. For use in identifying a variety of items, from cables to equipment, this label printer prints single- or multi-line, in six character sizes: 6, 9, 14, 20, 28 and 40 point, including bold, auto sizing, and bold auto sizing styles. Use the BMP21 to create self-laminating labels, wire marker sleeves, nylon cloth, and continuous tape labels with 203 dpi for clear, crisp printing. The thermal transfer printing method stays bright and lasts longer than direct thermal printing.
The BMP21 has 80 unique symbols (13 for voice/data communications technology), and code 39 or code 128 barcodes. The backlit LCD is easy-to-read and measures 2" by 1" (50.8 mm x 25.4 mm). Press print once for multi-print or serial, and labeler has a cutter button on each side for right- or left-hand use. Quick-loading cartridge makes switching jobs faster than other label printers; the label printer automatically senses the cartridge label type and size. Label retention keeps the label secure in the printer until label is needed. Labeler can hold a continuous roll up to 21" long. The memory feature stores the last-used setup. The label printer is 1.66 pounds and runs on (6) AA-batteries (not included) or optional AC power (power cord not included), and automatically shuts off after 10 minutes of nonuse. On battery power, it will print approximately 1,512 labels that are 2"(50.8 mm ) long. Built-in bumpers help protect corners from harsh field conditions. The printer and its printing materials are Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant for reducing the amount of hazardous materials used in producing electronic and electrical equipment.
Label printers, also called label makers or labelers, are a type of computer printer that print on rolled stock or fanfold stock. Label printers are used for many purposes, including asset management, price marking, packaging labels, laboratory specimen marking, and naming file folders. Label printers use a variety of printing technologies, such as laser, thermal transfer and direct thermal mechanisms. Some label printers may interface with a computer to create special types of labels, such as barcodes, while other label printers can create special content using the printer’s own operating system.
